Anesco is to help some of the UK’s most vulnerable households, who are most at risk or already experiencing fuel poverty, after forming a new partnership with leading energy provider Co-operative Energy.
Over the next ECO phase, Anesco will be improving the energy efficiency of thousands of domestic properties. The upgrades, which will include insulation and boiler replacements, will help reduce energy usage and bills for residents, while reducing carbon emissions.
“We’re delighted to be working with Co-operative Energy, which is a forward thinking and customer-focused organisation” commented Adrian Pike, CEO of Anesco.
He continued: “At Anesco, we are committed to delivering energy efficiency solutions in a cost effective way. Through this new partnership we will not only be tackling the issue of fuel poverty but will be reducing demands on the national grid by helping homes use less energy.”
Ramsay Dunning, group general manager, Co-operative Energy, said: “Partnering with Anesco was a natural step for us, as the company operates with values that match our own. The team is committed to driving efficiencies into the industry through the cost effective delivery of energy efficiency, which complements our own aims of keeping costs down for customers and providing transparent and affordable choices.”
He added: “Tackling climate change and making energy affordable for consumers is critical for the long term future of the energy market and that is why we are active supporters of the community energy movement. We have relationships with many community generators and believe in offering customers a choice about where the energy they use comes from.”
Through its work with businesses, local authorities and homeowners, Anesco has helped to take over 65,000 people out of fuel poverty. The renewable technologies it has deployed are now generating enough power for more than 70,000 homes, saving over 101,000 tonnes of carbon per year.
Anesco was named the UK’s fastest growing private company 2013 and is recognised as the second fastest growing cleantech in Europe and as one of the top 100 cleantechs in the world. For more details please call 0845 894 4444.
