Following outstanding growth, energy efficiency solutions company, Anesco, has again taken the top spot in the prestigious Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100 league table.
The Reading-based company has been named the UK’s fastest growing private company for a second year running, after growing sales by 375% a year over the past three years to £106.7m.
Now employing in excess of 140 permanent members of staff and up to 350 contractors and 82 supply chain partners and logistics staff at any one time, the firm is on track to almost double in size this financial year, forecasting revenue of over £170m.
Commenting on the ranking, Adrian Pike, CEO of Anesco (pictured left), said: “We’re incredibly proud of what we have achieved at Anesco and our ongoing success continues to be driven by the hard work and dedication of our talented team.”
He added: “Anesco entered the energy efficiency market to lead it and that is exactly what we’ve done. We continue to be first to understand new technologies and how commercial models can work to help customers’ improve their energy usage and save money, while overall helping to reduce the country’s carbon emissions.
“For example, we were first to introduce commercial battery storage solutions to the UK and will soon be bringing battery storage to the domestic market. We are also developing solutions for greening up street lighting infrastructure and replacing oil systems with biomass boilers. These are just four of the ways we continue to transform the UK market and all of these services will be provided with zero capital cost for the customer, with the funding managed through the huge savings in energy costs that are achieved by the initiatives.”
Through its work with businesses, local authorities, housing associations and homeowners, Anesco has helped to take over 95,000 people out of fuel poverty. The renewable technologies it has deployed are now generating enough power for more than 120,000 homes, saving over 150,000 tonnes of carbon per year.
Adrian concluded: “Business is often over complicated, but I believe it is the simple things that can make the biggest impact. We are a company that believes in its people, listens to its customers and collaborates with its supply chain, while having strong values around safety and sustainability.”
The Fast Track 100 ranking follows a year of achievement for Anesco, with the company recognised as one of the top 100 cleantech firms in the world by Global Cleantech 100 and the senior team named venture capital backed management team of the year by the BVCA in both 2013 and 2014.
