Sir Richard Branson congratulates Anesco

Anesco has been named the UK’s fastest growing private company for a second year running, with the company’s founders officially presented with their award by Sir Richard Branson.

The prestigious Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100 league table highlights Britain’s 100 private companies with the fastest-growing sales over their latest three years. Anesco took the top spot in 2013 and retained the title in 2014 – a feat that has been achieved only once before in the last 18 years.

The Reading-based company received the accolade after recording growth of 375% over the past three years. The firm has gone on to increase sales by a further 50% in the last financial year, achieving turnover of £160.2million and an EBITDA of £21million.
At The Fast Track 100 annual conference and awards dinner, held at Sir Richard’s Oxfordshire home, Anesco founders CEO Adrian Pike and COO Tim Payne were delighted to receive the award on behalf of their team.

Adrian Pike commented: “We are immensely proud to have retained our position as number one in The Fast Track league table. It is a huge achievement and down to the hard work and determination of every member of staff within the organisation.”

He continued: “Being first to bring innovative technologies and models to the UK energy efficiency market has played a key role in our success. We continue to do so, most recently by introducing battery storage solutions to the residential and commercial markets and through our ground breaking ESCO model, which enables organisations to improve their energy efficiency at no upfront cost.”

Now employing in excess of 150 permanent members of staff and up to 600 contractors and 103 supply chain partners and logistics staff at any one time, Anesco forecasts revenue will exceed £200million in the current financial year.

Through its work with businesses, local authorities and homeowners, the firm has helped to take over 135,000 people out of fuel poverty. It has deployed technologies in renewable energy that are now generating enough power for more than 150,000 homes, cutting emissions by over 170,000 tonnes of carbon per year. Its industry-leading renewable assets maintenance service, AnescoMeter, is now monitoring over 300MW of renewable energy plants across the UK.

Adrian added: “As a company we’re so proud to be supporting local communities, tackling fuel poverty and creating jobs at all levels, while helping to reduce the country’s carbon emissions.”
