Anesco sponsors Woolhampton CFC

Woolhampton Cricket and Football Club (WCFC) has kicked off the new football season in style after receiving the backing of local energy efficiency solutions company Anesco.
The division four team, which plays in Reading Sunday League, stepped out for their first home game in a fresh new kit, thanks to a donation from the club’s new sponsor.
“Woolhampton cricket and football club are very proud and grateful to Anesco for their generous support. At WCFC our core value of respect for officials, opponents and fellow members guides the clubs ethos. Anesco, with its similar outlook on life, has proven to be the perfect partner for us. We hope to enjoy many fruitful years of good, honest, and fun football in the future with Anesco by our side.” said Tom Goodhew, co-founder of WCFC.
Anesco, which is based at Easter Park, near Silchester, works with local authorities, businesses, housing associations and homeowners to reduce their carbon emissions. As well as supporting local community groups, the company’s Charitable Trust works with primary and secondary schools in the area to help educate the next generation on the energy efficiency industry.
A number of initiatives have been implemented, including a work experience programme, school talks and site visits. Together with charity Groundwork, the Trust is also supporting young adults through a programme that encourages the development of entrepreneurial skills.
Adrian Pike, Anesco CEO, said: “As a local employer and a people-driven company, at Anesco we are strongly committed to supporting the local communities in which we operate. Through our Charitable Trust we are proud to be supporting local initiatives and community groups, as well as actively working with schools and colleges to drive training and employment opportunities in the area.”
