With a strong track record for building high quality ground mount solar sites, we have a comprehensive selection process that ensures the best sites are chosen for construction and the best prices for hardware are secured.
To date, we have built 106 utility scale solar farms. This includes the country’s first subsidy-free solar farm, known as Clayhill, a utility scale hybrid installation comprising of 10MW of solar and 6MW of energy storage, which was completed in 2017.

Anesco is also the UK market leader for deploying and commissioning utility scale batteries for grid support and auxiliary services. Currently, Anesco has installed 150MW of battery stoarge across 33 sites, with a further 250MW of battery projects currently under construction.
Operations & Maintenance – Critical to Success
Operations and maintenance is vital for the success of any utility scale solar investment and at Anesco we take a proactive approach to managing assets.
Our state of the art in-house Network Operations Centre (NOC) works to industry standards and best practice, monitoring thousands of assets to maximise system performance, decrease downtime and ensure regulatory compliance.
Health & Safety
Anesco team members are direct employees and health and safety is of vital importance. We are proud of our exemplary safety record, being OHSAS 18001 and RoSPA Gold accredited for our approach to safety and the prevention of accidents.
Protecting the Environment
At all stages of development, consideration is given to the existing environment and natural habitats. Since 2016, we have worked closely with the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB), Europe’s largest nature conservation charity, to enhance the biodiversity of our solar farms, creating natural habitats for some of the country’s most at risk species and areas where wildlife and nature can flourish.

Anesco gets the green light for trio of solar farms
The solar farms form part of a 600MW pipeline of new solar and storage projects that Anesco has at the planning and ready to build stage. This includes a 20MW solar farm in Derbyshire, a 50MW solar farm in Lincolnshire and two battery storage facilities.

The agreement forms part of a wider partnership between the two companies, which will see Anesco providing ongoing operations and maintenance (O&M) and asset optimisation services for the batteries.
