Anesco CEO Hildagarde McCarville joins SEUK board

We are delighted to announce that Anesco CEO, Hildagarde McCarville, has been appointed to the board at Solar Energy UK (SEUK).

As a leading trade association representing the entire solar and energy storage value chain, SEUK is committed to empowering the UK’s solar transformation and to catalysing the collective strengths of its members.

Commenting on her appointment, Hildagarde McCarville said: “I’m both delighted and deeply honoured to be joining the board at Solar Energy UK.

“Solar has a pivotal role to play in tackling many of the major economic and societal challenges facing us today – from long term energy security to fuel poverty and decarbonisation – and against the backdrop of a deepening climate crisis, there really is no time to lose.

“I look forward to working alongside the Solar Energy UK team and my fellow board members to represent industry, champion the growth of solar and accelerate the change that is needed.”

Hildagarde was one of eight new board members to be appointed following a competitive election amongst SEUK’s almost 400 member businesses and organisations.

Solar Energy UK Chief Executive Chris Hewett said: “It is superb to see that our members have elected a board with such a depth and breadth of talent and experience, from distribution through major utilities to planning law. The board is also the first to have a 50/50 balance of men and women, showing how the industry is moving away from a position that has been somewhat male-dominated at the senior level.”

Director of Business Development Stephen Wilding added: “The new board’s diversity is certainly an encouraging signal to the solar and energy storage sector as a whole. I really hope that it demonstrates to the great many women in the industry how their career paths will lead to leadership roles.”
