The Energy Company Obligation, also known as the ECO3 scheme, was introduced by the government to help tackle fuel poverty and reduce carbon emissions.

Under their ECO obligations, energy suppliers must deliver a range of energy saving measures. These measures are designed to reduce the carbon emissions and energy expenditure of eligible properties.

Eligibility

As a highly successful managing agent for the ECO3 scheme, Anesco is working with local authorities and housing associations to help not only keep vulnerable households warm but also support the UK governments transition to a sustainable, low carbon future.

We currently have over £100M of funding available under the scheme, a figure that continues to rise.

For eligible households, typically those that have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of E, F or G, and in receipt of benefits or a low income, the funding can be used for a range of upgrades to heating systems and insulation.

For installers working in social housing

Anesco works closely with our approved installer network for measures that fall within the scope of ECO3, providing a conduit to securing funding from the energy company, whilst taking care of the many complex and time-consuming administrative tasks that are required as part of processing measures, this includes the technical monitoring element of the scheme.

For installers, we have £100M of funding available and highly attractive payment terms, in most cases just 10 days, instead of 30 days. We also assist our installers through a range of bespoke packages for projects both large and small, and these include fully managed insulation and heating schemes accompanied by stock conditioning surveys.

With over £850 million lifetime savings delivered to date and 350,000 people taken out of fuel poverty, it is no surprise that Anesco has grown to be such a recognizable name.

Social Housing Tenants

ECO3 puts an emphasis on low income households in receipts of certain benefits. If you are living in social housing and feel that you are eligible and would benefit from energy efficiency measures you can request these through your social housing provider, however you must have permission before any ECO measures can be installed.

There are a range of measures available that are designed to lower energy bills and create warmer and more comfortable home. These include both internal and external insulation, replacement boilers and heating system upgrades.

As a social housing tenant, your home must have an energy efficiency rating of E, F or G. Your social housing provider will be able to confirm the rating of your home.

As a leading managing agent for the scheme, Anesco is happy to provide advice and guidance on how to access ECO funding, however we will only provide funding directly to the installer, although we will process referrals and manage installation measures on a case by case basis.
